Karthik will work to

• Ensure full disclosure of flood prone development to buyers and renters 

• Ensure that drainage ditches in low-income, disproportionately minority communities are retrofitted to minimize flooding with the latest in flood prevention technology as part of the COH SWAT initiative

• Lobby Texas’s Congressional and Senatorial delegation to ensure steady implementation of the Ike Dike’s building process and the minimization of any environmental damage, as well as pushing for the consideration of nature based approaches such as the Galveston Bay Park Plan
